Project update

A Planning Proposal has been lodged with the South West Sydney Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP). The Minister appointed the JRPP as the planning authority for the rezoning when Wollondilly Council refused to support further investigation of the planning proposal. This was despite it being identified in the sub regional strategy as having potential as high quality employment land.

The JRPP is an independent body comprising of Council and State appointed members. If JRPP decide there is merit in the proposal it will be forwarded to the Minster for Planning or his delegate for consideration and issue of a 'gateway' decision. The gateway signals the proposal has merit and sets out a time frame for completing the proposal.

For more details on the planning proposal, please visit the project page.
