Consultation overview
Menangle Pastoral is committed to ongoing consultation with the community, government agencies and other interested stakeholders as planning for the site progresses. We have asked community engagement specialists, Elton Consulting to manage the consultation process and keep the lines of communication open and transparent between Menangle Pastoral and the community.
In early 2008 we commenced the consultation process by holding initial discussions with local stakeholder groups and landowners.
A number of consultation activities will continue to be organised to ensure that information is available in the public arena. These activities include:
- Project website
- Newsletters to residents
- Newspaper advertisements (for larger consultations)
- Community workshops and information sessions
- Meetings with stakeholders.
On 20 November 2008 a community workshop was held to introduce the project to the community and identify community aspirations for the site. A copy of the notes from the session can be found here.

Consultation update
Menangle Pastoral held a community information session to update local residents and stakeholders on the work that has been undertaken on the project.
The session was held:
BETWEEN 11.00 AM – 2.00 PM
SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER
MENANGLE HOUSE HORSE AND JOCKEY CLUB
170 MENANGLE ROAD, MENANGLE PARK
The session was part of an ongoing consultation process for proposed changes to the site.
Information on the draft rezoning proposal was on display and members of the project team were on hand to answer questions. Feedback from the session will form the basis of an independent consultation outcomes report to be submitted to Wollondilly Shire Council.
To download the boards that were displayed at the information session click here (Storyboards 1-9 and Storyboards 10-13).
